The protagonist of the story is 35-year-old Kazuha Ono, who works as an editor of a fashion magazine. When Kazuha, divorced due to her husband's infidelity, forcefully reports her divorce at work, she is overheard by a new employee, 22-year-old Mitsui, who happens to be there.
