Synopsis
Xu Youyi, a renowned author from Shanghai living in the Republic of China, seems to have it all until an anonymous letter disrupts her seemingly perfect life. Her best friend and husband have betrayed her, and she is left feeling lost until she meets Yan Wei, owner of a photography studio. Despite Yan Wei's cold exterior, the two women connect and find solace in each other's company. As danger looms, they grow closer and begin to heal each other's emotional wounds. The novel, which includes a prologue, follows their journey and begs the question: can they save each other?
