Furutto is a cat with a dual personality. On one paw, he's the faithful companion of Kujirai, a young woman residing in an apartment complex. She provides him with food (except when she recklessly wastes her meager earnings as a manga assistant) and enjoys spending time with him in her dwelling. On the other paw, Furutto is determined to maintain his street reputation as a feral cat. So he frequently associates with other strays, attempting to pilfer from garbage cans and engaging in spats with rival cats from nearby locales.
