One day, Liu Hai accidentally came into possession of a tattered magic book. While mimicking the mage in the magic book by creating a magic circle, she mistakenly summoned a demon girl named Chi Xiaoliu. Xiaoliu is the source of power for the Nation of Ponds and has long been imprisoned. She had been planning her escape for a long time and finally succeeded, coincidentally just as Liu Hai in the human world was experimenting with the magic circle... and thus, the two met.
