After sustaining a head injury in a scuffle, Kurosawa, a 44-year-old construction worker living under meager wages, passes away and spends eight years in a peaceful afterlife. However, it dawns on him that there are no women in heaven. Determined to fulfill his lifelong ambition of wooing them, Kurosawa leaves the heavenly haven to return to Earth. Despite his strong conviction, Kurosawa's direct actions lead him into several undesirable situations like groping and fighting, which invite the ire of society. He finds himself battling his human impulses, but he also has an introspective nature that lends itself to learning valuable lessons from his trials. Despite beginning his mission with the sole intention of finding a woman, Kurosawa soon discovers other worthy causes that give him a fresh perspective on moral virtues and a newfound zeal for life.
