The year 1620 witnessed the mysterious and unexpected death of the Taichang Emperor which led to terror and gossip among the residents of the palace. Following the Emperor's demise, an eerie wind began howling in the city center every night, accompanied by a string of unexplained fires and murders. Many people attributed these events to the sinister presence of 'The Wicked'.
